With years of experience behind us, we are available to assist you with all aspects of managing your fleet.
Leslie Smart, president of Smart Fleet Management, has more than 47 years of experience in the truck and equipment industry. He was directly responsible for fleets numbering up to 5,500 trucks of all sizes. He has experience with establishing fleet department startups and an annual spend ranging up to $25 million dollars.

Before starting Smart Fleet Management LLC, Les was Fleet Operations Manager at Southern Wine and Spirits for more than six years, Director of Fleet Management at Energy Transfer/Heritage Propane for another six years before that, and managed national fleet accounts at Auto Crane Co. for three years.

Looking all the way back to when he first entered the fleet industry at the age of 23, Les had taken over his family's small trucking company. He then went on to work at other companies including Atlas, Vulcan Equipment, American Hook Lift (as founder and CEO), and Labrie Equipment.

Throughout all his experience, Les can establish fleet department systems from the ground up, and build operations support and program management.
